Description
If you want to slide large pieces with little effort, this unique Shefu knife is the optimal knife for all chefs and hobby cooks! Whether for BBQ or everyday cooking, the Shefu knife cuts and chops elegantly through meat and vegetables. Its appealing design makes it safe and easy to work with.
Traditionally Hand-Forged Blade
The Shefu knife is made of high-carbon steel consisting of a single layer. Our Shefu knife is hand-forged and heat treated by our experienced blacksmiths following century old traditions. The diligent manufacturing process results in a Rockwell Hardness between 58 and 60 HRC. High-quality material combined with hand-forged manufacturing makes the Shefu knife particularly durable and long-lasting.
Durable Handle
The handle is made of pakkawood. Pakkawood is among the most exquisite woods for knife handles, thanks to its high density and water-resistancy. The high-quality blade and handle are the perfect balance between rigidity and toughness, making our Shefu knife more resistant, sharp and durable. Furthermore, it lays very comfortably in your hand.
Usage
Thanks to its thin blade of only 3 mm (0.12 inch), the Shefu knife lets you cut effortlessly and precisely through almost everything. Whether you would like to quickly chop a bunch of onions and tomatoes, or slice a chicken breast for a BBQ with friends: the Shefu knife will do the task effortlessly. With a weight of 300 g (0.66 lbs) and a length of 31 cm (12.2 inch) it is ideal for cutting large pieces. Compared to our forged Serbian knife, the blade of the forged Shefu knife comes with a narrower width. This blade is 5.5 cm (2.2 inch) wide and allows precise cuts.
If you’d like to cut through large pieces of meat, our Shefu knife would be the right choice for you. To cut through meat bones, check out our Bushcraft Serbian knife.
