Sakai Takayuki

In the Sakai region of Japan, a 600-year-old tradition of knife making is still going strong. Established in 1947, Aoki Hamono Seisakushi Co.LTD has been around for over 70 years and is the company behind the Sakai Takayuki brand. Although they may not have the longest history within Sakai, they became the largest knife maker in town and home to many blacksmiths and craftsmen who work together to create a huge array of knives.

With the aim of producing top-notch knives by incorporating more innovative technologies, they have developed many unique technical breakthroughs since their inception, and have continued to develop new blades.
Sakai Takayuki knives are internationally acclaimed and earned a reputation beyond Japan’s borders. Their knives are sold in more than 100 countries around the world to chefs who share their commitment to superb quality and handmade craftsmanship.
