Description

The Masutani Sairyu Western Gyuto is the solution for those who are looking for a traditional Japanese gyuto but with a western-style handle.

Gyuto (Chef’s Knife) is the Japanese version of classic Western chef’s knife. It can be used with a variety of different cutting techniques to achieve a wide range of kitchen tasks and is suitable for cutting the vast majority of meats, fishes, vegetables and fruits.

The black pakkawood handle provides more water resistance and sturdiness than wood. Masutani also added contours to make the knife more comfortable to use. The knife is made out of  VG-10 Damascus steel. It is a double-edged blade with a Rockwell of 60.

It won’t leave you hanging or reaching for another knife.
