The handle is made of exquisite rosewood, making it extremely resistant to water damage and rot. Weighing only 210 g (0.46 lbs), this sturdy knife is lightweight and easy to handle. The combination of high-quality material and hand-forged manufacturing makes this knife particularly durable and long-lasting.

It was designed for multipurpose use in everyday cooking, and embodies the perfect combination of utility and design. This unique model can be used on everything from vegetables, herbs, fish and meat. The durable materials and hand-forged steel prevent the blade from becoming blunt, even when used frequently. Its rosewood handle makes it resistant to frequent washing.

Proper care and maintenance of your high carbon knife is crucial in preventing rust and prolonging its lifespan.

- It is recommended to wash the blade with warm water and dry it thoroughly after each use.
- Do not clean your knife in the dishwasher.
- Avoid cutting frozen products or bones.
- Store your knife in a dry place and avoid prolonged exposure to moisture.
- Apply a small amount of food-safe oil to the blade to protect it from moisture, wiping away any excess before each use.
- Regularly check the knife for any signs of rust and take appropriate measures to remove it promptly.

By following these simple guidelines, you can help to ensure that your high-carbon knife will be rust-free and in optimal condition for years to come.

The knife is really good and does everything it should do and well. But the very tip of the knife had a very small bump that doesn’t affect its use but makes wiping it off a bit more difficult and possibly dangerous. It’s not worth sending the knife back, and because carbon steel is soft, the bump can probably be manually honed off. But nothing is perfect.

No comment other than shortening the knife handle

received my new Damas knife after a 6 week wait mainly due to airline holdups. The knife is beautifully made , easy to hold and use. The craftsmanship is very good and love the designs in the metal on the blade.
My only criticism of this knife is a small flaw on the cutting edge of the blade. Which is a bit disappointing due to the high cost of the knife.

So gar, so good. All I sliced with this impressing heavy knife was a carrot. Longterm use has to come. It looks to be a very good knife. It will have to proof sustainable sharpness.

I ordered it last week, but when I get it I was disappointed. It’s not so sharp. Compare whit my other chef knives it has an average sharpness! I sharpen it twice during 1 week so I start to suspects. Measure the hardness and it is not 61 HRC! It was less than 30 HRC. The wood handle is clicking!! So I was wery disappointed!!!!
2 star because it has a wery good looking!
